VINEYARDS | Organic viticulture at 800 meters altitude where traditional farming meets modern techniques in this young wine from Mustiguillo.
WINEMAKING | The varieties are vinified separately and undergo malolactic in a mixture of oak and stainless steel. The final blend spends 11 months in French oak.
TASTING NOTES
Deep in color with an intriguing nose of black fruits, violets, cedar and black pepper. The fleshy dark fruit flavors of blackberry and black currant are lifted by brink mineral acidity (this is where those limestone soils come through) and fine tannins. Leaves you on a nice sweet and spicy finish, a perfect pair with anything cooked over fire & smoke.

“The red 2021 Mestizaje Tinto was produced with a blend of 75% Bobal, 15% Garnacha and 10% Syrah. It has 13.5% alcohol and kept good balance and freshness. It matured in a combination of oak vats and barriques for one year. It’s quite classical, serious, balanced and fresh, with a certain complexity, Mediterranean with elegance.” - Luis Gutierrez
